About our Principal Mr. Gregory J. Sawka

Mr. Sawka comes to St. Edward Catholic School with 34 years of experience in education. He has served as a classroom teacher in grades 2, 3, 5, and 6 and has served as a Catholic School principal for five years. In addition to those experiences, Mr. Sawka has served as Superintendent of Schools in both larger and smaller school districts in Illinois.

Mr. Sawka holds a BA Degree in Elementary Education from Aurora University in Illinois and his Masters in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois and CAS Degree from Northern Illinois University in Early Childhood Education and Administration. Mr. Sawka also is certified in several areas of special education. Mr. and Mrs. Sawka reside in Montgomery, Texas and attend Sacred Heart Parish in Conroe.
