St. Edward Catholic School
Family Rosary Night

Dear St. Edward Parents,

As we continue to honor the Virgin Mother in the month of May, we would like to invite you and your family to the first "Family Rosary Night" on Monday, May 17, 2010. With the help of our teachers, staff, our pastor, Fr. Joe Gietl, and the help of our friends in the Order of Malta (www.orderofmalta.org), we would like to begin an initiative to help to teach your children how to pray the Rosary and hopefully to pray the rosary as a family.

On Monday, May 17 we invite you to a Pot Luck dinner beginning at 5:30p.m. in the Gym. Drinks, dessert and paper goods will be provided. We will also have rosary coloring sheets for the little ones and a visual rosary for all. Please feel free to bring the whole family as all ages are welcome to share in this powerful prayer and devotion.

A Rosary packet will be given to each family which includes, a Guide to Praying the Rosary, The Fifteen Promises of Mary to those Who Recite the Rosary, a Sanctity of Life Prayer, and a Rosary. We hope to see you next week for our school's first "Family Rosary Night".

Our Heavenly Mother wants to help us in our daily lives and all we have to do is ask. Our country and our society needs many prayers, and your children's prayers are so powerful! Let's teach them how to pray the rosary for the sanctity of life!

Blessings,

Nell Schell
