Living Our Best Lives Through Jesus
At St. Edward Catholic School we are helping children become saints! This year our Monarchs with Merit Program is focused on VIRTUES. A virtue is a habit to do the good, give the best of ourselves and be more like God in what we say and do. To develop a habit takes a great deal of practice!
Our students will learn about and live out the virtues of faith, hope, charity, prudence, justice, fortitude and temperance. These seven virtues are the cornerstone of the moral life and will guide our students toward holiness and heaven.
Through modeling of the virtues by faculty and staff, integrating virtues into school-wide strategies, and using the vocabulary of virtue in our interactions with students, the Monarchs with Merit Guidance Program guides all of us to be more like Christ. And as we grow in virtue, we will create a more nurturing and caring culture within our school.
Monarchs with Merit Recognition: each homeroom teacher will select and recognize one student each month for practicing the virtue focused upon. A Monarchs with Merit certificate and a pin will be presented to the student on the following Mass dates:
