The National Junior Honor Society is an international student organization that consists of chapters in middle schools across the US and other countries. The NJHS exists to provide service to the community, church, or school. To be considered for membership applicants must be judged worthy by the faculty council based on five standards which include leadership, citizenship, character, service, and scholarship. At St. Edward Catholic School students are eligible to be considered for membership after the first semester of their seventh-grade year and during eighth grade.
